My name is Mark Corbett and I work at The Buyer’s Choice, a family owned real estate company that specializes in representing only residential home buyers for Rhode Island and Southern Massachusetts. I’m passionate about representing buyers exclusively and looking out for their interest.

If you need to sell a property I can assist you in locating a top listing/marketing agent anywhere in the US, but my company does not list homes. Since, my company only represents buyers, we don’t have any of our own listings to try to sell you, which allows us to represent you 100% of the time! By working with me, you get the entire company on your side not just a single licensee.

The benefit to you as a buyer is you know that you will have our professional advice along the way to your path of home ownership. We are there with you from viewing properties, attending all inspections and going to the walk through and attending the closing when you get the keys to your new home. We also help you with the paperwork and preparing the offer to purchase.

Since we don’t have to spend time marketing properties we can devote all our energy on helping you locate your home, evaluate property by doing extensive research at the city/town hall and negotiate your purchase in your best interest.

I have to admit I do enjoy the cool mobile tools that I get to use, which allows me to always be in communication with my clients. Need us to preview a property for you, no problem, I can take a video tour of it on my iphone and email it to you. Need to sign papers but can’t meet. No problem I can send it to you electronically and you can e-sign it, which is so easy just a click.

With the Ipad I’m an environmentally friendly real estate agent, which is hard to do sometimes in the real estate business. I can show my clients what properties are available in real time with pictures and neighborhood information and email you my notes on the properties we view. Saving you time and many trees along the way.

My Education

I graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst with a BA degree in Theater. After I graduated I freelanced technical lighting jobs at theaters in the Massachusetts areas. I moved back to Lincoln, RI. In 2000 I became a licensed real estate agent and joined the Corbett Team. I’m licensed in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. I service the entire state of Rhode Island except Block Island and southern Massachusetts along interstate 495, 295 and 95.

I’m one of the few Real Estate Agents in the nation to hold the professional designation “ABR” (Accredited Buyer Representative) and “CEBA” (Certified Exclusive Buyer Agent) and “Epro”

Some of my training includes special real estate courses such as Agency in Real Estate, Ethics in Real Estate, Disclosure in Real Estate, Real Estate Financing, Real Estate Contracts, Consulting Session, Real Estate Negotiating, Market Analysis, Purchasing Contingencies and Environmental Issues.
